What happens when an inspired girl leaves St Mary’s? She becomes part of a sisterhood of remarkable women.

Since 1906, St Mary’s is proud to have played a pivotal part in the lives of many remarkable women. During their time with us, we have helped them build their character, inspire their curiosity, and have given them the confidence to contribute to a better society, and world.

The Old Girls community provides a platform for these remarkable women to come together and support one another.

Refilwe Moloto

1997

A strategic and economic advisor with over 15 years of financial services experience in Emerging Markets research, broking and asset management. Refilwe’s an External Expert Advisor on Eskom Pension and Provident Fund's Strategic Investment Committee, and Non-Executive Director of an advisory and investment firm. Refilwe’s also the first black female talk radio breakfast show host in Africa with her morning slot on Cape Talk.

Bongiwe Beja

2004

Amongst 400 change-makers world-wide under 35, Bongiwe was honoured to attend the Global Shapers Annual Summit in Switzerland in 2018. Spending 8 years in Asset Management, Bongiwe is now the General Manager at Silulo Ulutho Technologies, in Development Finance, and has been elected the Curator of the Cape Town Hub of the Global Shapers Community

Tammy Fry Kelly

1998

Tammy lives in Australia and is the International Marketing Director for the family business Fry’s Family Foods Co. Tammy founded Meat Free Mondays in SA and has been named Top 8 Women Changing the World through food. An expert in karate, Tammy has also taken up the role of Marketing & Communications Director of the LIVEKINDLY Co over and above her role at Fry’s.
